7/6/08 welcome to our new members!

the group is actually a "spinoff" from a swap that i participated in last winter (hosted by a dear blog pal, the vintage dragonfly)...i just became so enamored with my "white" book from that swap that i was craving for more, lol...so then i hosted another itty bitty book swap with the theme being "robin's egg blue"...the final book was just oozing fabulosity...

i knew i wasn't alone in my addiction with itty bitties...so i decided to expand my robin's egg group to open-ended themes...& wasn't i tickled to find that others were addicted to the itty bitty book concept too! & well, the itty bitty group has taken a life of its own now, lol...we have such a diverse & delightful mix of creative souls.

so that's the scoop about how this group came about in case you were wondering!

5/2/08***GROUP NAME CHANGE****as you may have noticed, i've changed the group name to reflect the new direction our group is taking. it tickles me to see that so many of you got the "itty bitty bug" (i just had a feeling that was going to happen!) & i want to make this group more of a forum to introduce a variety of themed book swap collaboratives. your participation to any swap hosted here is entirely VOLUNTARY. sign-ups for a specific swap will be announced in the discussion threads. it is perfectly OKAY to sit out on a swap; there will likely be more to come! so no worries, okey dokey?

we are thrilled to welcome some new members to the group!! in order to keep our fab little group FAB, just a couple of "housekeeping rules":

1) please submit your BEST work
2) please RESPECT the provided deadline of a given swap
3)please be COURTEOUS & COMMUNICATE nicely among all in the group
4) please do not hesitate to ask questions or share concerns that you may have. someone (either myself or the moderators) will get back to you!
5) please keep your artwork "family friendly"...no raunchy and/or inappropriate material here!
6) please post topics for group discussion that relate specificially to our group, swap themes, kudos to members, etc. any off-topic posts of a profane or inappopriate nature will be deleted and/or closed without warning. we have a very positive vibe going on in our group & i would like to keep it that way. thank you for your understanding!

~GENERAL SWAP INFO~

the basic 411:
****email your full name & contact info (both e-& snail mails) to follow_your_bliss07@hotmail.com, or if indicated, the current swap hostess.
****make 1 original page (2.75 inches x 3.5 inches OR otherwise specified for a particular swap theme) plus x-number (tba after sign-up closes) of quality color copies (preferably on cardstock)
****sign up by the swap's specified deadline.
****x-number (tba shortly after sign-ups close) of embellished copies, etc due in the swap hostess' hands by specific swap date.
****nominal shipping fee requested (see above link for further 411)

once all embellished copies of their original page are received by swap hostess, the hostess will sort, collate, bind & ship out to each participant as quickly as possible.
