In addition to the group pool, enter your shots into our composition topics. These are available for feedback, even if your photo is not in the group pool.
Photos admitted into the pool should be normal photography, just great compositions. This means no abstracts, no random lines, no still lifes. Photographs are about life, people places, events, things. Composition is the way we present life in a way that is visually appealing.
If you do not know any composition rules, please read up on them before posting. Admins reserve the right to reject or remove photos that do not fit into the group's purpose.
It is difficult to define good composition. Please look at our group's Most Interesting Photos (above) for ideas.
Caveats / Rules
One can define composition in technical terms - vanishing points, negative space, angle of intercept. These rules are important, but mostly, it's art, and photos in this group should look and feel like works of art.
Please look at the threads, our most interesting photos (or other photographic references) for ideas regarding composition. Do NOT submit abstracts, shots of a ball, razor wire, or other solitary objects against negative space. The objective of the group is to demonstrate how to compose photographs.
1. Photos will be moderated by the Admin/Moderators to ensure the work is about Composition.
2.The admins & moderators need to be to comment on photos to administer the group. If you have us blocked from commenting, you will be removed. Immediately.
3. Photos should clearly display at least one of the following compositional rules: Vanishing Points, Patterns, Rules of Thirds, Negative Space, Light & Shadow, Linear/Curvilinear composition, Symmetry, Single-point perspective, etc. If you do not know what any of these are, please refer to the discussions before posting.
4. Brilliant Photos that have nothing to do with the composition of the shot will be removed.
5. Abstracts and shots with unidentifiable subjects WILL NOT BE ADMITTED.
6. Composition does not mean simply tilting the photograph.
7. No sexual shots, please. This is not an 18+ group. Tasteful nudity is fine, full, frontal nudity is not.
8. Compositions that are ONLY well-composed due to Photoshop or Corel, and not photography, are better suited for other groups.
9. If your photo is not admitted, please don't be offended, it is about suitability for the group, not quality. However, do not re-submit it.
The Good News
1. Subject matter isn't important. Any subjects are fine as long as there is a clear subject, there's no full frontal nudity and no porn.
2. This is a friendly place. Unfriendly people will not be welcome.

Comments are very welcome. It would be very COOL if comments spoke about what in the shot you like. There's also a code if you want an easier "I liked it."
