Ok, guess I should introduce myself then.
I'm Thomas. I live in northern Norway and love the ocean (and sea-gulls)!
One of my favourite things to do is strolling the coastline looking at things that storms have brought ashore.

And I'm Tord, north-norwegian currently living in Trøndelag. I'll be uploading some of my "It came from the sea!"-photos soon-ish.
Remember, if it came from the sea, post it! =)

I'm Pat, from the Canadian flatlands. We don't have any seas hereabouts (well, unless you count Hudson Bay, which I've never set eyes on), but we've got about a hundred thousand lakes in the province.

Ahoy there, Pat! I suppose both fresh- and saltwater themed photos are accepted =) We should rename the group "it came from the sea/river/lake/creek". Thank you for joining, we're eager to see those lakes of yours. Cheers!
Denmark's calling. My name is Kirsten and I love the sea. This is a great idea for a group. Congrats on it!!!

hello all, my name is kaveh and I hail from California. One of my favorite things to do is dive for abalone. I like SCUBA diving as well, but ab diving is my passion. The pacific ocean is about 20 min. from my house and i try to get up there as much as possible, sometimes to have a picnic on the beach, walk the shoreline, or go tidepooling.
cheers

Hi...my name is Diane. I live in sunny FL! Thanks for the invite to the group jungl thomas. I love being in and on the water, so I hope I'll be able to contribute a few pictures to this group.
I do a lot of kayaking and videoing of manatees and whatever else happens to swim by. I try to help a friend of mine with documenting manatee harassment. If you would like to view some of her videos, go to youtube.com and type "starthrower" in the seach box and it will bring up her videos.

Welcome all!
Looking forward to see all your pics from the coastline.
flkrakr: There is a 10 picture per day limit. Would be nice if we did not post more than like 3-4 at the same time so several people get their pics in the group photostream.
Heading outside to take some more pictures. Have a good day =)

hey molly... boy, you abalone divers in Australia must have balls of steel...the Box Jellyfish, Great Whites, Irukandji jellyfish, Portuguese Man O' War, Physalia physalis, (also known as the bluebottle), Cone fish, and the deadliest octopus in the world, the Blue-Ringed Hapalochlaena (though this resides mostly in tidepools)
i am not saying that our waters are safe, however just not as dangerous... we have our own share of Great Whites and thats enough to keep most divers out of the water..not me though..i know the chances of getting bit by a great white are less than getting in a car accident on the way to the ocean.
though.. this Australian Abalone Diver www.stuff.co.nz/3937892a12.html
has some pretty big gonads!
cheers

Hi again, okay I am from the North Georgia mountains so I must travel a pretty good piece to find the sea. Which I think in return makes me appreciate it even more. Getting ready for Spring Break and then I am Ocean Bound. My screen saver reminds me constantly. It says. BEACH BOUND!

Hi everyone,
Cool group. I live in California, I'm a scientist, and I work on the oceans! I grew up in the Caribbean, and I've almost always lived near the ocean (which I do now). I love to study, collect, eat, protect etc. anything from the sea.

Hi, I'm Cheryl, I live on the East coast of SC, and am always taking pictures by the ocean!
Hi, I'm Stephen, born and brought up on the North East coast of Gt. Britain. Took up Scuba , trained up to Course director with NAUI Moved to Cologne in Germany some twenty years ago, so my "it comes from the sea" entries will be sporadic to say the least ... its a long long drive to the coast...
Saludos a todos. My name is Alejandro and I live in Gran Canaria, one of the Canary Islands. I live close to one of the most beautiful urban beaches in the world: Las Canteras, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Actually most of the seaside pictures I upload are taken at this beach. I hope there will be no oportunity to show nothing but seaweed and other natural things. I surf, take pictures and work as cabinetmaker. I'm a beach-creature!

Yikes! I think I found my favorite flickr group! I'm Amy from landlocked Missouri USA, but I ADORE the ocean, particularly the shoreline and findings thereon... I've been to the Atlantic Coast several times and just got back from my first trip to the pacific. What an amazingly diverse group of shorewatchers here!! Photography and traveling the world, and then bringing it back to my students is my passion! =)

Hi, I'm Monique, I live in Gent, Belgium, and I love to walk along the sea and to "beachcombe". My family can get quite annoyed with it - I can spend hours scanning the shoreline.

Hi, I'm Micki and I really enjoy seeing the treasures and oddities you all share in this group. I get the opportunity to visit the southern California coast a few times a year, so I post when I can!
