About Irwell - source to sea !
Pictures of the River Irwell, from its source in the hills above Bacup in East Lancashire, to its confluence with the Mersey below Manchester, and down the Ship Canal, into the Mersey Estuary and to the Sea.
I have decided to include the Mersey downstream of the confluence and also the Manchester Ship canal, as geographically & topologically they're all the same river!
Tributaries to the Irwell are good, but try and say where they join.
Bridges over our lovely river also accepted.
And of course features on the banks.
