03 Mar 09 - Was searching through Flickr and could not find one group truly dedicated to Irony in images. And thus, it hit me, why don't I create a group.

All because of a flock of geese. Go figure . . .

And Yes, the Group Icon is a goose head, as in got your goose . . . better yet, just take at the first image submitted to the pool.

About Irony in Images

Webster's defines Irony as:

1: a pretense of ignorance and of willingness to learn from another assumed in order to make the other's false conceptions conspicuous by adroit questioning —called also Socratic irony

2 a: the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning b: a usually humorous or sardonic literary style or form characterized by irony c: an ironic expression or utterance

This group is dedicated to 'irony' found in photgraphs through the juxtaposition of image elements contained in the photographs and/or the description / caption associated with the photgraph i.e. humorous.

And, the folks is the primary rule pertaining to submissions.
