About Iowa Main Streets
The primary goal of this group is to have one current photo of every single main street in Iowa. Just one - so the group map link leads to a whole state view with one image per town. If you're shooting a proper city that doesn't have a main street get a view that will be immediately recognizable to those who live there - some view of an iconic area where folks gather.
Once the representative photo is in place anyone else who has geotagged photos may participate by making a comment on the anchor photo with a message containing a small size linked photo. Yes, small, not thumbnail, as some of us have older eyeballs :-( I very much want to see each's town's representative photo become an anchor for any geotagged photos taken there, no matter who takes them.
The comment photos are not limited to the main street. If you've shot all of the churches, or man hole covers, or whatever trips your trigger, then go ahead and post a small linked image and a paragraph describing the focus of your work.
