About Butterflies of Iowa

This group is intended to be a field guide to the butterflies found naturally within the state of Iowa.

Rules:

1. Subject matter must consist of butterflies only (including skippers). Caterpillars are also acceptable, as long as they are identified, or a request for identification is included. Photos of moths are outside the scope of this group. Any creatures which remain unidentified, within the discretion of the administrators, will be removed.

2. Tagging photos with both the common and scientific name of the butterfly is encouraged.

3. Photos must be taken within the state of Iowa. Geotagging is not required, but highly encouraged. Please use the title, description, and/or tags to describe the location where the photo was captured.

4. Adult content and blatantly offensive material is prohibited. The Administrators reserve the right to immediately ban anybody breaking this rule.
