About in the zone"In the zone" is a common expression to describe someone who is mastering the moment, exhibiting particular skill or a high level of focus or concentration (see wikipedia entry). Its a common expression in sports (think Jordan, just before the buzzer) but actually happens all around us. It may be contemplative or reflective in nature. It may be found in nature (or at home among domestiques). Those who are "in the zone" lack awareness that anything else in the world matters, other than the task at hand. This group is dedicated to photographs that capture these moments. Please contribute! |
