About International Style

Photographs, images, renderings, models, and other representations of architectural designs, buildings, and proposals of any era that fit roughly within the definitions developed by Henry Russell Hitchcock and Phillip Johnson in their landmark 1932 exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and the related publication The International Style.
Discussion and interpretations are welcome. I don't believe in an extremely tight interpretation of the "style" so your personal attitude and thoughts are encouraged.
Canonical examples of the International Style, such as the Dessau Bauhaus, Le Corbusier's Villa Savoye, Mies van der Rohe's Tugendhat House, Richard Neutra's Lovell Health House, etc. should be well-documented. Images may range from documentary, historical, to interpretive & artistic.
Additionally, lesser known works are particularly encouraged. If this group can form the basis for a collection of worldwide examples of International Style architecture, that would be a worthwhile goal and create a valuable resource. A wide a geographic range is desirable. Any work produced in the 1920s up to the present time fitting into the general description are appropriate for inclusion.
I will judge whether any particular images are inappropriate. Those will be removed. Discussion of the reasons for inclusion or exclusion are particularly encouraged.
Any questions should be directed to the group Administrator, Remiss63.
