This group is to show off the living spaces of PAID PROFESSIONAL CREATIVES who aren't professional interior designers.
Repeat, ARE NOT professional interior designers, or decorators, or contractors, or anything relating to that field.
Rather, we are looking for people who are web designers, filmmakers, writers, musicians, game or software people, journalists, illustrators, painters, graphic designers, typographers, fashion designers, etc. (We let architects in as long as they follow the Group Rules.) Whatever you do, it has to be your primary source of income, not a hobby.
It is NOT simply a group for anyone who likes design or thinks they have a nice-looking house. Feel free to look at the pics, but you can't join the group.
HERE ARE THE RULES!
1) You must be a PAID creative professional...see above.
2)...NO professional INTERIOR DESIGNERS though. Sorry. Find another group.
3) CRAFTING is NOT a creative profession, for the purposes of this group, but we welcome pics of craft projects in the context of decorating a room. (We like rooms.)
4) You MUST include a brief description of what you do and where you do it, like "I write copy for Leo Burnett," or "I 've danced prima ballerina for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens for 3 years," or "I'm the sous-chef at Veritas." SOMETHING, please. No info, no admission.
3) You MUST include links to pics you intend to submit. Don't make me hunt through your 10,000 beach photos from Cancun; this makes me [Marvin the Martian voice]very very angry. No links, no admission.
Content Rules
a) At least one wide shot of an entire room in your house. That's really it as far as mandatory content goes.
b) Keep it family-friendly.
c) Everything else is up to you. Check the photos already in the pool for ideas.

I cannot emphasize strongly enough that you MUST include links to relevant photos. Some people have 12,000+ shots of their cat and their kids and I don't really have time to sift through all of them to find something that MAY be relevant to the group.
Please make it easy on me -- I get dozens of requests to join the group missing these very simple bits of information and I have to turn them down every time, so... please take 5 minutes to copy and paste some links!
This also means that the photos you want to submit should be PUBLIC. If I can't see your photostream, there's no point, is there?
Sample photos must be clearly photographed and of sufficiently high resolution. If I can't make out what it is, then it doesn't go in the pool.
If you have to submit just one pic, a clear, wide shot of an entire room (or balcony, or garden) would be ideal. I prefer to see rooms and ensembles, not just details and objects, though those are welcome in moderation.
