About The Interestingest!
The goal is interesting pictures tagged with interesting words.
Photos with the highest interestingness in all of Flickr for a specific tag, with extra credit for tags that are themselves interesting words or phrases. There must be at least 50 pictures (taken by 10 or more users) that share that tag.
Click on the globe next to one of the more idiosyncratic or beautiful tags on your favorite photo, then click the Most Interesting link. Is it the first picture in the list of Flickr's Most Interesting?
1. Add it to this group!
2. IMPORTANT: Please post a small version of it in the Interestingest discussion along with the tag or tags for which it is the most interesting. The photo's status cannot be verified if we don't know which tags qualify it, and posting to the discussion makes it relatively easy to check.
EVEN MORE IMPORTANT: The tag needs to be in use on 50 or more photos throughout Flickr, and by 10 or more users. "Frenetic" is a great word, but only eight pictures in Flickr have it for a tag, so even if you have the most interesting "frenetic" picture, you can't put it into the pool at this time.
3. IF, in your Flickr travels, you happen across the interestingest picture for some tag, word or phrase you enjoy (and that meets the above requirements), you're highly encouraged to invite the photographer, either in your own word or by copying and pasting the following code into their photo's comments:
Hey, this is the <u>interestingest</u> photo on Flickr with the rather interesting tag <strong>XXXXXXXXX</strong>! Please consider adding it to <a href="http://flickr.com/groups/interestingest/"><strong>The Interestingest!</strong></a>, a new Flickr group. Thanks!
(you'll want to replace the Xs with that rather interesting tag)
That'll look like this:
Hey, this is the interestingest photo on Flickr with the rather interesting tag XXXXXXXXX! Please consider adding it to The Interestingest!, a new Flickr group. Thanks!
REMEMBER to add a small version to the discussion along with the tag or tag for which it's the interestingness winner!
