About BKK-PER-Interchange
‘BKK-PER-Interchange’ is an exciting project that focuses on the exchange of photographs between amateur and hobbyist photographers in Bangkok (Thailand) and Perth (Western Australia).

The aim of this project is to establish collaboration and communication between photographers from Perth, Western Australia and Bangkok, Thailand. This will show the way ideas and concepts that we often take for granted can evolve when explored by individual artists from different backgrounds.
Photographers in this project will use the BKK-PER-Interchange Flickr Group to exchange photographs every two weeks. The photographs will be based on a particular theme. For example:
In the first two week period, photographers in Bangkok submit their photographs for the theme of ‘Family’. In the same two week period, photographers in Perth submit their photographs for the theme of ‘Home’. The photographs are posted in two Topics on the Interchange Flickr Group.
After the two weeks have passed, the Perth and Bangkok photographers change themes. Now, the Bangkok photographers view and select one or more photographs that the Perth members have presented in the ‘Home’ theme, and respond to these photos by posting their own photographs in relation to the photo/s selected. For example: PhotoX (by Perth photog Y) resulted in me producing PhotoB. That way the viewers can see the cause and effect as one. The images posted in response may or may not be related to the original theme of the topic.
Likewise, the Perth photographers will view the ‘Family’ theme to look at what the Bangkok members have posted there, and then select one or more photos and respond to these photographs by posting photos of their own..
After each cycle of themes, photographs submitted will be selected and then exhibited in an online gallery (the URL of this gallery will be posted to participants via the Interchange Flickr group).
It is hoped that the photographs will also be printed and shown in a real-world exhibition in Perth (and also in Bangkok if the opportunity arises) later this year.
Please note: All photographs submitted for this project remain the intellectual property of individual photographers. Please only submit your own photographs and creative works for this project.
