Given how great Mimi is being about posting on these boards, you'll no doubt get to know him through that. So, I don't feel like a total slacker for having just filched this biog straight from his website, www.mimimollica.com/
Mimi Mollica has covered assignments in a number of different countries like Northern Ireland, Pakistan, Sicily, Great Britain, Brazil, India, Romania and Senegal, West Africa, photographing current events and in-depth photo essays. His work has been published in various magazines and newspapers such as The Guardian Weekend Magazine, Financial Times Weekend Magazine, The New York Times Lens, Internazionale, Granta Magazine, The independent on Sunday Review, D di Repubblica, Marie Claire and COLORS Magazine among many others.
As well as being assigned from magazines and NGOs, Mimi works in length on his personal projects, some of which have been exhibited in numerous collective and single shows.
Mimi lives and works in London.

The "En route to Dakar" series deserves a special mention:

For me it strike a special chord: reportage meets poetry, meets street, meets politics -- really brilliant stuff if you ask me.

Amazing & very strong work - TRUE - Close to people - Creative - Your photographs are poetic, fun or discribing reality as it is (the homeless asleep). I love the series en route to Dakar too - Congrats & keep going Mimi

The downside of offering to upload photos like these for the participating photographers is that I then have to see them next to mine in my photostream. Note to self: must shoot better.
I'm really looking forward to a point around week 37 when the difference will (hopefully) be less noticeable...
Seriously tho, Mimi, your work is awesome and a complete inspiration. Nice one. ;-)

Wow! I am feeling overwhelmed - Mimi's involvement seems to have lifted this whole project up a notch - all the constructive discussion threads are really inspiring and encouraging, although now I am scared of going out and trying to remember all the advice and guidelines. I don't usually have time to read through every image and comments but couldn't tear myself away this morning and feel I have learned loads. Thank you all.

Jesus!!!
Guys! You are the ones to be commended, not me!
I am enjoying this beautiful project, together with you!!
I wish I had more time to stay and write even more, but I also have to think about my own work and to close some deadlines, so maybe this late afternoon I won't be able to be around.
I'll try my best to follow up until then and later tonight.
Thank to you all,
Mimi

How lucky we all are to have a photographer of Mimi Mollica's calibre so graciously giving his time and being involved in this project.
