We are knitting patterns from Michele Rose Orne's Inspired to Knit, and working on mood boards and building color palettes inspired by the seasons. This is in conjunction with the ongoing KAL at inspiredtoknitkal.blogspot.com and you can participate just here, on Blogger, on Ravelry or on all three sites.

What is a mood board? It’s a collage that tells a “story” or creates a particular mood that can be translated into handknits. Michele goes through this exercise in the book, and we thought it would be fun for people who are following along.

WHEN AND HOW TO GET STARTED

This KAL and Project will last for one year, from July 2008 – July 2009, and you can jump in any time. You might create a mood board for your favorite season, or participate year-round and make something for all four seasons.

If you live in the Northern Hemisphere join us in July by creating your summer knitting Mood Board. Knitters in the Southern Hemisphere may want to start with winter Mood Boards. This is a no-rules project, and you are not required to have a blog to participate. Simply upload your photos to this Flickr Group.
