About Insect activity (Invite only) - COMPETITION VOTING NOW OPEN
Hello insect lovers
Welcome! This is a group for those wishing to post photographs of insects engaging in their day to day activities - and this can vary widely and wildly from any type of movement such as foraging, cleaning, eating, drinking, washing, pupating, flying, communicating, farming, attacking, mating, courtship.. you name it, it just has to be insects 'in action'.
IMPORTANT: No images of insects at rest, in torpor or dead. We see tonnes of those on Flickr, so they wont be accepted into the group. The main focus of the shot MUST be the insect in action, not the background or a flower, for example. Photos with borders or a copyright obscuring the image will not be accepted. We want to be able to clearly see the insect. No images of spiders will be accepted.
Since this group is 'invite only', this means that only the BEST photos of this genre will be up here for you to enjoy. You may be invited to join the group and if you wish your photo to be considered please submit it to the group pool or post it to a discussion thread after you have joined. We will then add your photo if it fits these criteria.
This is a fascinating insight into insect activity and life. So have fun and I hope you enjoy this group.
