About Insect Identification Help Group

Whether you need help identifying insects and invertebrates, or can help identify them, we welcome you to this group.

Post photos or videos of INSECTS and other INVERTEBRATES THAT YOU CAN'T IDENTIFY so we can help to identify them.

Post ONLY insects and invertebrates you cannot identify. This is not an all-purpose insect photography group.

IMPORTANT: Please include the LOCATION and DATE the photo was taken, as this is vital to identification. Location data can be in the title, caption, tags or geotags, but photos without any location will be declined. We don't have time to search your photostream for clues.

REMEMBER Flickr is a global community. There are literally millions of species of invertebrate worldwide. The more information you can give, the more likely you are to get a firm identification. We need all the help we can get!

I will only accept one photo of each specimen. Add further views in the comments if necessary - this is so that we can display as many DIFFERENT creatures as possible on the front page. This makes it more interesting for identifiers, and more likely that photos will be seen and identified.

We need members who can help with identification too - just click on any picture to add your comment if you have an idea of what it might be.
