We first got our needles out back in 2003 when we knitted 20,000 hats to raise £10,000 money for Age Concern. Since then, The Big Knit has grown even bigger every year and this year, we’re hoping to smash the £1m mark of total money raised.
Since we started the Big Knit, we’ve worked with Age Concern and Help the Aged (who have now merged to the collective force that is Age UK) to help keep thousands of older people across the UK warm and healthy during the chilly winter months.
Every year, we’ve received more and more hats, so this year we’re aiming to put 800,000 hats on our bottles.
Where can I get a smoothie with a hat on?
innocent smoothies with hats will be available in Sainsbury's and Boots stores across the country from the first week of November 2010.
