About In My Element

This group is for pictures of the classical elements-- earth, air, fire and water-- as they appear in the natural, outdoor world.

Although man-made objects may appear in the picture, the focus must clearly be of the natural world. You may use pictures that focus on a natural object/being that has been cultivated by humans, so long as they are capable of existing independently of human interference (thus, a bonfire burning wood is okay, but a multi-coloured plastic-burning flame is not).

Likewise (as should be obvious), one or more element must feature prominently-- as such, while pictures of leaves and cute animals are lovely, they are not appropriate for the group (unless of course covered in raindrops, burrowing into the earth or soaring through the air).

All pictures must be taken outdoors, with minimal tweaking (no heavily photoshopped images).

If you like, you can tag your pictures with the word "element" followed by the element that features in the picture (eg. "elementwater"). If more than one element features, then use more than one tag.
