I've seen several recent additions to the pool that are lovely, but don't appear to belong here. There are many wonderful groups to add your work to...please, if it doesn't fit our focus, remove it from the pool?

About Ink and Watercolor Wash

This is one of my favorite techniques, for its freshness and seeming spontaneity, though of course the ink drawing can be as simple and loose or as complex and detailed as you care to make it.

It DOES offer a framework, a guideline, to hang washes on, and I find it liberating.

I was surprised not to be able to find a Flickr group devoted to this combination, though there were quite a few tags that included it...so of course I had to start one!

My students asked me for years to do a workshop or online class on this technique, and it's in the works for the future, but to give them something in the meantime I just finished a new CD with a slideshow and PDFs...and now a Flickr group pool!

Please feel free to add your artwork to this group pool, if it's done with ink and watercolor!
