About Informative Photos: Teach Me Something New!

This group is dedicated to photos that have informative descriptions - where you can learn something while enjoying photography. The goal is to be able to look through the pool and be able to say "I learned something new today".

Here's an example.

Has this description: "An American Pika (Ochotona princeps). A cousin to the rabbit, these guys live in rocky mountainous terrain above the tree line. They have a very high-pitched alarm call when danger is near..."
