Photos should be of places not people. Portraits of human beings, animals etc will not go into the pool.

About Ineffable melancholy

Pictures of places with an ineffable melancholy about them or where the charm of a place is difficult to describe.

This is a group about places rather than objects - the sort of places that one won't find in most tourist brochures. Places that have a charm that is difficult to describe - often bleak outposts such as Dungeness or the North Norfolk coast (by way of example).

This group isn't really for pictures of people. The pool is moderated and pictures that feature mainly people will be removed.

Your submissions are welcomed; however photos that do not meet this criteria may be deleted. Please contact the administrators if you would like any further guidance on the type of subject.

Look at the pictures in this group for more of an impression.
