About Indigenous Eyes // deep connections to the land
This group is here to create a community of people who live closely with the land and want to connect with others who do through word and image.
Seeing through indigenous eyes is all about a deeper connection to the land than what's on the surface-- it's about diving into the river after watching pelicans fish, pulling cedar bark to weave baskets and respecting the great tree of life.
We are here to be part of the environment, and not believe the illusion that nature and humans are separate, and should be kept apart. Understanding this makes us the strongest protectors of both the wild places, and each other.
