About The Image Breakers

The images are (left) a segment of Henry Holiday's illustration to The Banker's Fate (after his encounter with the Bandersnatch) in Lewis Carroll's The Hunting of the Snark (1876) and (right) The Image Breakers (1566-1568) by Marcus Gheeraerts the Elder.
This group collects similar "heads" and other images related to the concept. You just can enjoy them as a beholder, or you add your own work to the group pool. But don't make it too easy. There are already so many versions of the Mona Lisa around. They are fun, but not as a challenge. If you contribute (you don't have to), do what Henry Holiday did: Construct conundrums. Holiday's method is not to copy from other artists, instead of that he pointed to other artists by quoting from their works.
As for Holiday's conundrums, it took more than 130 years before it even had been recognized, that there are conundrums in his illustrations. In present times the internet probably makes it a bit easier to solve such puzzles.
