About Illuminating York 2009
As the nights draw in and the temperatures drop York gears up for its annual Illuminating York festival. Thousands of visitors flock each year to see the city in a colourful new light. Previous festivals have included exciting new art works projected onto York Minster, St Mary's Abbey and the Yorkshire Museum.
Now in its sixth year, the Illuminating York festival continues to breathe light and innovation into the city's historic and urban centre. Visitors and residents of the city are invited to experience cutting edge technology at its most beautiful with uniquely comissioned works, inviting you to see York in a diferent light.
