There are many myths about the origin of the rose: in Greek mythology, for example, there are two versions particularly striking. The first has it that Aphrodite, goddess of beauty, after being out of the waves, would fall to the ground a drop from his skin and that drop is said to have created the first rose. The second version attributes the birth of the rose to Chloris, the Greek goddess of flowers, found in a forest after the lifeless body of a nymph enclosed in the trunk of a tree, sought help from Aphrodite. This gave her beauty, Dionysus, god of wine, added nectar to give her a sweet scent, and finally the three Graces gave her charm, joy and brightness. Zephyr, the god of the east wind, blew away the clouds so that Apollo, god of the sun with its rays could heat it and allow it to flourish.
However it seems that, originally, the roses were all white. One day, Venus, running toward one of his lovers, he tripped on a bush of roses and the thorns pricked making screaming in pain. The roses, wet with the blood of Venus, ashamed for the injury done to the goddess, instantly blushed red and stood for eternity.
With regard to the yellow roses, the legend of their origin dates back to the story of the Prophet Muhammad and his favorite Aisha. Because he suspected that the churches were unfaithful to the Archangel Gabriel to help him uncover the truth. The angel said to wet the roses and if they have changed colors, their doubts were unfounded. When Muhammad returned home, Aisha gave him red roses, he ordered her to drop them into the river and became yellow roses.
