About I h*te film! (digital discussion & tutorials)
Provactive, Yes! I little tongue and cheek...defintely! To borrow some words of wisdom from Marshall McLuhan "I don't want them to believe me, I just want them to think."
A group for digital heads who are sick and tired of bring told digital is just a fad. I have gotten really annoyed with the elitism that surronds film in this day and age. Film is just a medium like any other and don't get me wrong, I don't really hate film unversally, however unless you are talking about medium format and large format cameras, digital is the bomb. I believe that all the digital hating by 35mm folk (and I have noticed, not people with MF and LF cameras)comes from the leveling of the playing field. If you can see the shot right of the bat, you get to learn and grow much faster. Before you had to pay big $$ and wait to see to results and I think this irrates film people to no end!
Amatures and pros welcome, please post photos which look like they were done with film, but where no one would know the difference. I'm thinking fake lomo, fake holga and diana and xprocessing of all kinds. Also, if you have techniques in photoshop to duplicate film effects please share them on the thread. I'll be adding a few tutorials and links here.
For those who think you need years of formal expereince and film cameras to pull of great shots should check out this site by Payam Rajabi of www.colorblind.ca. He is a high school student with a Sony Mavica cd-500 and he takes amazing pictures.

So if no one knows the difference, does it really matter?
