About Iconic letters

An icon is a graphic device that represents some object or action. This group collects letters of the alphabet that are in some way designed to be iconic or pictorial - but not letters that just happen to look like something else.

The letter itself should preferably illustrate some concept - though it is often difficult to draw the line between a letter itself made as a picture and a letter combined with a picture.

The idea for this pool originated in discussions in the Themed alpahabets pool.

The rule in many letter groups is that the featured letter should be the only letter in the photo. With many interesting iconic letters it will be very hard to separate them from the rest of the word, so this rule will not apply here.
