About International Coastal Cleanup Weirdest Finds
Ocean Conservancy promotes healthy and diverse ocean ecosystems and opposes practices that threaten ocean life and human life. Through research, education, and science-based advocacy, Ocean Conservancy informs, inspires, and empowers people to speak and act on behalf of the oceans.
Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup is the largest and most successful volunteer event of its kind. Each year, thousands of volunteers from around the globe participate, clearing tons of trash from coastlines, rivers and lakes.
With so many people picking up trash along our coasts for Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup, there must be some pretty extraordinary finds out there. Take a picture of yours and upload it to the group!
The photos or videos of the weirdest finds will receive an Ocean Conservancy windbreaker! Please make sure to send us a message with your name and email, so we can contact you when we announce the winner!
Submit your photo/video to the group by October 31, to be considered. Winners will be announced by November 30. Contest rules.
If you're a member of the Flickr, simply join this group and add your photo to the group pool. (If not, join the group, because only group members can contribute to the group pool.)
The easiest way add a photo to a group is to go to the photo's page and click the "Send to Group" button between the photo title and the photo. Then choose the group you want to send it to, and you're done!
Do you use a mobile phone? You can upload straight to Flickr by email, or using one of the Flickr partner services. Check out the Flickr Mobile Tools.
Email a photo directly to your photostream using a special upload by email address. (You can add tags and set privacy as you email as well. Handy!)
If you aren't yet a member of Flickr, sign up for a FREE account and upload your photos. Flickr is part of Yahoo! so all you need is to sign in to your Yahoo! account and you will be signed up. If you don't have a Yahoo! account, you can create one now and upload your photos right away.
