About Fundação Iberê Camargo
A Fundação Iberê Camargo tem sua nova sede, na Avenida Padre Cacique, 2000. Projetada pelo Arquiteto Álvaro Siza Vieira, o Projeto recebeu o Leão de Ouro na Bienal de Arquitetura de Veneza, em 2002, e será um referencial arquitetônico não apenas para Porto Alegre, como também para o Brasil.
O edifício abriga a coleção de mais de 4 mil obras de Iberê Camargo, dispondo de 09 salas de exposições, atelier de gravura em metal, atelier múltiplo, auditório, centro de pesquisa e informação, átrio, livraria, cafeteria e estacionamento subterrâneo. Irá expor a obra de Iberê e de artistas do Brasil e exterior, assim como desenvolver um amplo programa de ação no universo da arte moderna e contemporânea.
The Foundation Iberê Camargo has its new headquarters, in the Avenue Padre Cacique, 2000. Projected for the Architect Alvaro Siza Vieira, the Project received the Lion from Gold in the Biennial one of Architecture of Venice, in 2002, and will be a referential architectural not only for Porto Alegre, as well as for Brazil.
The building shelters the collection of more than 4 a thousand workmanships of Iberê Camargo, making use of 09 atelier, exhibition halls of engraving in metal, multiple atelier, audience, center of research and information, forecourt, bookstore, cafeteria and underground parking. It will go to display the workmanship of Iberê and artists of Brazil and exterior, as well as developing an ample program of action in the universe of the modern art and contemporary.
