One of the most photogenic destinations in the world,The Huntington was founded by railroad magnate Henry Edwards Huntington in 1919 on the grounds of his private estate. The musuem attracts more than half a million visitors each year. Its breathtaking gardens and world-renowned collections have been an inspiration to amateur and professional photographers for nearly a century. This is The Huntington's "official" Flickr group, administered by the institution.

VINTAGE PHOTOS WANTED: As we look ahead to the 100th anniversary of the Japanese Garden in 2012, we are inviting Flickr members to share vintage family snapshots taken in that garden over the years, as well as contemporary images, in our Japanese Garden Centennial Scrapbook group.
