About Humanity for Animals
"Our task must be to free ourselves...by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and it's beauty." ~Albert Einstein
This group is for those who wish to communicate, through photographs and visuals, their sensitivity towards the suffering and exploitation that animals encounter in the human world. It is encouraged that quotes accompany the images. All submitted subject matter can bear witness to animal cruelty in it's many forms; as well as contain examples of efforts to improve the condition of our fellow creatures. The aim of this group is to move and inspire compassion towards all sentient beings through a collection of visuals.
Animal cruelty is disguised and concealed through food, clothing, entertainment, recreation, sports, and even through the domestication of pets. Often, we don't realize the stress that animals encounter in our modern world.
Please feel free to include quotes, imaginative visuals and photographs that depict examples of how we humans commonly desensitize ourselves to the misery and abuse of our fellow creatures. We confront this issue multiple times a day. Together, let us help one another identify it, and show one another that we recognize it.
"All cruelty springs from weakness."
~Seneca
