About Human Faces: Fascinating Just the Way We Are

I want to create a collection of simple, honest portraits of people from all walks of life, all over the world. A celebration of diversity. You don't need to be a professional photographer, but I am looking for good quality, honest, natural portraits. I don't mind whether you know the person or not, as long as the photo is not overly posed or contrived. By natural, I mean the person should look as they normally would in the situation in which you find them. If they would normally be wearing makeup, for example, that's fine, but I don't want photos of people who have been made-up specifically for the photo. I am going to start with moderating posts, so I can set a precedent for the type of photo I am looking for. After a while I might try opening the posting and see how it goes.

Please feel welcome to join (no invitation is needed) and submit your photos. Don't be put off if I don't accept every photo - it doesn't mean I don't like them, only that I don't think they're suitable for this particular group. So have fun, be nice to each other, and start your portraits coming!!
