About Houses with Towers

Pictures of residential HOUSES with towers or turrets, old or new. Little towers, big towers, falling down towers, remuddled towers, even cupolas, it doesn't matter, if it's a house with a tower, it belongs here!!

Vintage photographs or postcards featuring such houses are okay, too. In fact, they're welcomed! I'd love to see some more vintage photographs here.

I want to keep this pool open and free, so please be kind and follow a few minor rules:

1.) Please try to keep it to towered residential architecture ONLY. This is very important. RESIDENTIAL. What is residential?

- YES - Single family homes with towers
- YES- Row houses, townhouses, or duplexes with towers.
- YES- Formerly single-family homes that are now multi-family homes or commercial businesses (think house turned into a cafe) are welcomed.
- OK - Lighthouses (that someone lives in) and castles, palaces, etc. (that someone lives in or once lived in) are somewhat grudgingly accepted, but please don't flood the pool with them.
- OK - If a school, library, church, etc. has been TURNED INTO A HOME, it is okay. But if it is not a house, please do not add it. If it is a building that is not obviously to the average person a *home*, it must mention this in the description, or else how will I know?
- YES - Vintage photos or postcards of the above mentioned architecture.

Please Remember:

- NO Public buildings
- NO Government buildings
- NO Commercial buildings (please see our sister group)
- NO Churches (unless remodeled into a home)
- NO Schools (unless remodeled into a home)
- NO Libraries (unless remodeled into a home)
- NO Clock Towers (unless it is a private residence)
- NO Light houses (unless there is a house attached)
- NO Apartment buildings
- NO Barns (unless someone lives there/private home)
- NO Prisons
- NO interior shots.

2.) The tower MUST be visible in EVERY shot you add to the pool. Detail shots of the tower are a-ok.

3.) If you have photos of commercial buildings that have towers, please consider our sister group:
www.flickr.com/groups/commercialbuildingswithtowers Small scale buildings only, no skyscrapers.

4.) If I can't tell from the photograph and your description if it is a house, if it looks like a government building or a church etc., and there is no description or explanation stating otherwise, I will probably remove your photo from the pool. No hard feelings, but if I can't tell that it's a house, then it shouldn't be in "Houses" with Towers. I appreciate your participation and if you have any sort of question, please ask!

5.) And no naughty stuff! >:O

Your photo will be removed without notice if one cannot tell from the description that it is a private home. I hate to be so whiny about it, but a clean pool is a happy pool.
