About Eventing.

Eventing is the pinnacle of equestrian sports. Eventing brings together the order, the discipline, the collectedness of dressage ; the courage, the endurance, the sense of adventure and the dangers of the cross-country course ; and the sheer athletic performance and cold calculation of jumping...

This group is devoted to the celebration of the astonishing sport that is eventing, or concours complet, (complete competition) as it is aptly called by the French, who invented it at the end of the 19th century when it was designed as a test of aptitude for military horses (hence the name "horse trials", which some of the most famous events still retain).

There is already an "Eventing" group on Flickr, but I chose to create another one because the founder of that other one obviously cannot devote the time required to promptly manage the submissions.

Let's hope this group will be a more active and livelier place !
