About Hobart
Settled in 1804 and having a population of 194,000 , Hobart is the second oldest capital of Australia and is the state capital of Tasmania. Located in the south-east of Tasmania between the mouth of the Derwent River and the feet of Mount Wellington, the mild temperate climate make the summer months ideal for outdoor activity. Snow falls on Mount Wellington and the adjacent highlands for a few days in most winters, and large areas of bushland still exist on the outskirts of Hobart. Its beautiful harbour is the destination for the annual yachting races from Sydney and Melbourne.
All photos relating to Hobart and it's surrounding areas are very welcome.
