Hong Kong is the most vibrant city in the world. The lack of land and high population density cause great demand for dense, high-rise offices and housing. Older buildings are cleared away to make space for newer, larger buildings. Today only a few old buildings still standing. Taking the 'last stand' before cleared away by developers & new developments.

This group is created to promote a greater awareness of the issues that the older buildings and especially the historic buildings present, but not limited to demolished buildings as well. We encourage members to search, photograph and share their knowledge of historical buildings. Hopefully it could create our awareness on various well known historical buildings and buildings that are unheard of in Hong Kong.

This group's only restriction is please do not post photos of modern buildings. It is strictly for posting photos of old buildings, demolished or about to be demolished buildings. Also this group is not designed for members to show off artistic photography. Otherwise they will be deleted without notice. Thank you.
