20 Dec 07 - I've just posted some photos of the Birkner Family and Birkner House, 1811 S. Congress, better known as the funeral home across from Fran's. The house has a demolition permit pending with hearing scheduled for Jan. 28, 7 p.m. at council chambers. The Historic Landmark Commission voted to initiate historic zoning and will vote at that meeeting. Please attend and show your support for historic zoning and to oppose demolition.
