19 Mar 09 - Please re-read the group rules! I am a nice guy, really, and hate to have to do it, but I have deleted some pictures from the group that did not meet the rules. And that was really hard, because some of them were really super pictures! But, they were more applicable in other groups. If you have a really cool building picture or other picture that you are not sure belongs here, send me a note and, if I agree that it don't belong, I promise to try to find a group where it fits in better! Thanks!

About Historic Oklahoma Architecture

Welcome! Any photographs of historic (that means the subject is over 50 years old) welcome! Post images new or old, and photos of whole building prefered (but if you post one of the entire building, you are welcome to post additional photos of details of that building). For reserach purposes, post as much info about the building as possible along with the photo! Enjoy!

1: Posts must be images of historic buildings or structures (over 50 years old).
2: For each building, the image posted needs to show enough of the building to identify it (i.e. the whole facade, or a view showing most of the facade or most of two sides). If a picture that matched that reqirement is posted, then a few additional images that show details can be posted.
3: No posts allowed (and will be ruthlessly removed) of building details unless images of the same building that matches rule #2 are posted as well.
4: Other images may be allowed to remain IF I can see a valid reason. For example, a series of images that show a historic building and then followed by the empty lot where it stood will be allowed to remain. There may be other exceptions, I will recognize them when they occur.
5: Please include in the description the location (Town or city is absolutely needed, County would be nice, and.... geotagged would be awesome!)

I hate to be mean, really I do, but the group is really geared to images that show historic buildings. So, to facilitate that, lets follow these rules so that the group does not get bogged down with images that are not of entire or the majority of a building (i.e. details, non-historic street furniture, etc). And as much as I like to be a nice guy, I really don't have time to send a nice email everytime I have to delete a picture becuase it don't follow the rules. So I will delete them ruthlessly and without warning...sorry!
