About UK High Street History

With our high streets turning into identikit brands/concepts designed by committee (quite possibly in a "blue sky room"), this group aims to remember the glory days of the British High Street and capture those storefronts that Head Office's design team haven't got round to rebranding yet, before they fall victim to the whiteboard doodlings of a braying gang of junior Saatchis.

Does your local Smiths still have its orange and brown "cube" logo? Has the refit in your local Marks uncovered a tantalising glimpse of old-skool carpet or light fitting? Post a photo of it here.
