About The Hidden PDX
The focus is on the back alleys, backyards, back streets, or back (unknown) people. Show us those PDX gems that most tourists aren't aware of.
No iconic Portland shots allowed here! Examples of ubiquitous images that would get booted are: the zoobomb bike pile, the "Allow Me" sculpture in Pioneer Square, big pink, any of the bridges that cross the Willamette, the Vista bridge, a MAX train or Tri-Met bus, The Tram, the downtime skyline from the Eastbank Esplanade or the Rose Garden, Powell's bookstore.
You have until September 30, 2007 to post 2 of your favorite Hidden PDX images. On October 1, 2007 the pool will be closed for posting.
Old photos are allowed, but new ones are strongly encouraged.
Photos are regulated to the Portland Metro Area (South of the Columbia River, East of Beaverton, West of I-205 and North of West Linn)
Post-processing, B&W conversions, Portraits, Landscapes, Macro photography, all types of photography are allowed.
1800 minimum pixel width resolution is recommended so that images in the book compilation are sharp. More information about The Book will come later as we get closer to the submission deadline.
The most important guideline is to have fun seeking out, capturing and then sharing some of Portland's hidden gems for the world to enjoy.
