About NEW IDEAS at Government House

Welcome to the New Ideas Flickr group page. This group has been created as part of the New Ideas exhibition at Government House, Sydney. The exhibition explores the history and significance of Government House using new media. It features site-specific artworks created by artists from School of Media Arts, College of Fine Arts, UNSW and D/Lux Media Arts. It will be on display at the Ballroom, Government House form 28 July to 8 August 2010 (closed 2 + 3 August; and 10-1pm Saturday 7 August).

We invite you to follow on the artists footsteps and submit artistic images and accompanying text that interprets and explores Government House in interesting and creative ways. Photography is not allowed inside the house, but you can explore the gardens and architecture, the blending of tradition and contemporary relevance, and the way people interact with these elements and add your photos to our Flickr pool. These photos will also be displayed on the New Ideas Exhibition Blog.

What do I need to do?
If you just want to look at the photos, you don't need to do anything. You can just click on the links and look at the photos.

If you want to post a photos and comments, you will need a Flickr account. Once you're logged in, click on the link to join the group and start posting your photos. Please remember to add tags.
