We'd like to display your photographs at the Herbert!

During August and September 2010, the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum is hosting Face to Face, a temporary exhibition developed by the Natural History Museum, London.

The exhibition features the work of photographer James Mollison and includes 30 powerful, large scale portraits of our closest relatives – the apes.
These emotive portraits of gorillas, chimpanzees, orang-utans and bonobos highlight the vitality and intelligence of these magnificent and threatened animals.
Reproduced at over two metres high, each photograph tells a personal story and encourages us to consider our relationship with, and our treatment of, the natural world. It does this by bringing us face to face with some of the individual animals that have been most deeply affected by the actions of humans.
A complementary exhibition by local artist Katie Boyce will also be on show.

So, what's this Flickr Group for?
We want to feature your photographs alongside these exhibitions! Photographs submitted to the group will be shown on a screen in the gallery. You may submit up to 10 (ten) photographs to this group. Please tag all submitted photos with herbertfacetoface and set image privacy settings to Anyone (Public).

We're hoping this group can be a place to explore the exhibition's themes and we'll accept photographs which fit into the following categories:

• human – animal relationships
• our relationship with the natural world
• animal portraits
• human and animal emotions
• apes
