About Community Heart & Soul

Every place is special. Take the distinct mix of people, landscapes, characteristics, traditions, history, and events in a place, mix them together and you get "heart and soul" - the unique aspects that matter most to citizens and that, if lost, would fundamentally change the character of the place.

The Orton Family Foundation works to help small cities and towns describe, protect, and enhance their heart and soul through our Heart & Soul Community Planning process. The first step is to identify what matters most to citizens, and this group is a place to do so through photos.
