About Harvey's 777
Photos from film developed in Harvey's 777 developer.
Formulated in 1938 by the photographer, writer and chemist Harold Harvey, Panthermic 777 was a favourite of many famous photographers, among them André Kertész, Henri Cartier-Bresson and W. Eugene Smith. 777's ability to be used over a wide range of temperatures made it the developer of choice at agencies such as Magnum and Black Star. It produces a full, rich tonal scale with beautiful detail in the highlights and shadows, along with a crisp fine grain structure.
