About Hartwood Acres

A flickr site that offers the opportunity for people to post pictures of Hartwood Acres, a historical landmark located approximately 10 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. Hartwood is an amazing facility, situated on 629 acres of beautiful, scenic, rolling hills. It has a series of trails for walking, jogging, biking. Numerous deer, turkey and hawks inhabit the area and can often be seen at close distances.
Hartwood sports a series of concerts in the summer, a variety of special events, and is famous for its "Festival of Lights" tour which enables visitors to drive their cars throughout the facility and view thousands of Christmas lights.
