I started this relaxed, open group because I couldn't find an existing group that celebrated the many different reasons why people visit the reservoir - walking, fishing, birwatching, strolling to the cafe, wild-life spotting, feeding the ducks and geese, fungi-foraging etc. etc. etc.

If, like me, you love visiting Hanningfield Reservoir, then this group is for you! Welcome!

About Hanningfield Reservoir

Hanningfield Reservoir is set in a picturesque part of Essex and provides some of the best reservoir trout fishing to be found in the United Kingdom.

It’s also a wonderful haven for nature, and is renowned for its nationally important populations of wildfowl, which can be viewed from the reservoir's four bird watching hides.

Near the hides, and set in site of specail scientific interest (SSSI), is the Essex Wildlife Trust visitor centre.

This "Hanningfield Reservoir" Flickr group exists for those of us who love visiting this beautiful and peaceful place, and who would like to share the photos we have taken on our visits.
