Kitties like:
- Catnip and catnip toys/pillow
- crinkle toys (the ones that make a "crinkle sound")
- pompoms
- pompoms with tinsle
- mini tennis balls (the ones the size of a ping pong ball)
- ping pong balls
- squeezy stress relief toys (usually for humans, but Spook likes them a lot)
- feathers
- the fishing pole type toys
- fuzzy toys
- boxes
- bottle top rings (soda and milk and the like)
- being combed
- beef, pork and chicken
- real fur toys, i don't mind rabbit fur that comes from farms that raise them for food
Things Kitties Don't like:
- self propelled toys
- anything fish (mommy won't let them have them, I used to have a cat that would get stones from fish products! I know it's only certain cats, but I don't want to take the risk.)

Misty doesn't play a whole lot, except with acorn tops, so my other cat would be a better bet for a toy. Jasmine loves chenille stems and puff balls. She's yet to meet a toy that she totally dislikes. Nothing edible, please. We're all on reduced-calorie food here.

My cats don't play a lot becouse our dog take there toys away.
But ones a week i make time to play with them in the livingroom and put the dog in the bench.
I think they like al kind of stuff when it is moving around at a wire

The Sparkle,
I once had a cat named Fred who loved green beans. He knew where we grew them in the garden, and would follow me out there. He'd meow until I gave him one.
Silly critters.

Let's start with Curb, she's the oldest. We were working late one evening in Nov 03' on busting out an unwanted cement curb (we were on the corner of the curb) and a black and white very small kitten walked up to us. She needed people badly. She has illnesses from being tossed out by whom-ever but we keep her as healthy as possible now that we have her. She is my thief! She will sneak up and "paw" small things off tables and then bat them around on the floor until lost under something. We know almost right away she's been there and stole something that now we have to go hunt down. :) I toss her pom poms when I am working with them. She loves catnip, feathers, birds and OHHHHH she brought me a mouse once she had caught inside the house! She doesnt have good teeth from her illness ... nor front claws, I de-clawed both cats. Anyway, she is the baby yet the oldest, she's the missy of the family.
Mayo, hmmmm best if you go see him on my flickr! LOL born in May 04', thought he was a she until doc said boy and we said "Oh".... thus "Mayo". He is all black long hair and a "Ham"! He runs and chases Curb around all over the house. He was picked out of a Wal-mart box by my hubby and youngest son ......Aaahmmm .. Curb needed someone to play with! LOL He likes toys that give him a challenge ... we throw a rubber bouncy ball and he runs to it (fast and sliding - wood floors-) and brings it back in his mouth, then waits for us to throw it again. He lovesssss his rabbit feet (keychains) that he packs around with him too. He will put them on the couch and when they are hid he tries to dig them out. He gets jealous when Curb is having fun with pom poms but doesnt see the pompoms as fun all by himself. Mayo is 90% whacked ... awesome animal.
I don't give them many cat treats, either they put their nose up or I am just not finding the kind they like. They never go outside, unless Mayo tries to escape, shortly to lay down flat and wait for us to pick him up, Mayo weighs about 20-30 pounds, Curb is about 10 to 15 pounds if that.
Boxes, feathers, balls or poms, yarn, string, bags ( I get worried with plasitc), pipe cleaners in some whacky shape for them to bat around ( I have wood floors, so things glide easy). Well that gives a tip of the ice burg ... happy making, swapping, and playing!

Hi all -
PJ and Kyt-tea (pronounced kitty; nothing else stuck) are both rescues: the former was saved right from under the tire of my dad's car while a wee thing and the latter recently adopted my family when it's previous owners abandoned her (May 2006). They're working on getting along but there's plenty of hissing and growling going on. That is, until it's playtime!
Both enjoy:
- string/ribbon of ALL kinds
- feathers/pom poms
- fuzzy mini rats from the local pet store
- styrofoam bubbles/bubble wrap (see PJ in action flickr.com/photos/lintwins/sets/72157594436997448/ )
- water bottle caps (to chase around the wood floors)
- bags/newspapers/boxes to hide and pounce around
- knitted cozies
- they go a bit nutso with catnip
This sound fun and I can't wait for the gals to play...together!

We have three cats. Simon (female) the oldest is very large. She is the one that plays with toys. Precious can't be bothered. Her favorite thing is to find a place to roll in the dirt and then expect to be welcomed back inside. Ajax the hunter boy cat plays with the real thing. Our fur people were strays and rescues and are very much loved in our family.

Sorry I missed this thread last time! It would help me a lot if your screen name is different here than swapbot if you could put that in too :)
I'm still getting to know Brie as she's a rescue but she likes:
- fish
- catnip
- spidery looking things
She's a creeper and prefers to chase rather than play on her own.

well... I finally found this group after months and months of swapping cat toys on SB. Better late than never, eh?
Kali... is more Tom's cat than mine, but she likes crunchy treats, stuffies with catnip, things that dangle and things that have feathers. She's lazy and prefers to have her slaves dangle things over her head for her to play with when she's in the mood to mingle. She loves stuffies and will carry them around when she's playing by herself.
She's also a bathroom cat and hangs out in the tub quite a bit. One of her favorite pasttimes is sitting on the side of the tub and watching people take a bath, or peeking in the shower while it's running.
Kali is 11 years old and was rescued from an icky petstore place when Tom and I first started dating.

We have 5 cats ranging in age from 5 months to 17 years so no matter what you send, there's probably somebody around here who will love it! And, of course, our Golden Retriever will try to steal it and play keep-away no matter what...

Cleo is 1 year old and demands her playtime! She was rescued (I think from the county dump) and I gave her to my dad for father's day last year. She is very, very active and loves her toys. She doesn't need catnip as she can be wild and crazy enough without it! Feather toys on a string are her favorite and she can put on quite an acrobatic show with these.
She has a stuffed bunny and one of those monkeys with the long arms and legs that have velcro on the hands and feet. She will drag these toys around and either snuggle with them or play really really rough and tumble with them.
One of her favorite games is to have my dad throw her toys down the hallway one by one so she can chase them. If he stops before her toy basket is completely empty, she will walk over to the basket and look inside then look up at him and meow then go back and get in chase position in the hallway. It's so funny to watch.
Cleo likes:
feathers
balls
bells
mice
milk cap rings
yarn
bugs
anything that she can chase or bat around
Cleo dislikes:
nothing! LOL! I haven't found a toy she doesn't like yet!

OK, I'm new to swap-bot and new to being owned by a cat.
Our new kitten has yet to be named, but for now I'm calling her Kiki, short for KittyKitty. She is the kitten in the latest photos in my stream.
We've only had her for a couple of weeks so I don't know what she really likes just yet.
From what I do know:
* toes, fingers, legs, arms, hair
* food from a can rather than the stuff from a bag
* anything that makes noise
* string, yarn, spaghetti straps
* anything with a long tail
* anything that rolls, moves along the floor
* anything that she can carry in her mouth
If it is ok, I'll come back as she and I get to know each other better and give an update.

Biscuit is a single neutered male that is 1.5 yrs old.
He likes: small items with fur or sometimes feathers.
He thinks they are real and growls at us if we try to pick it up. :> He loves lizards (real) and fake!
He doesn't care for catnip at all- dried or fresh. In a toy or out in the open. He also doesn't care for balls or bells.

I have 4 lovely Persian cats; 3 females and 1 male and their names are Sharmila, Minou, Vigo & Lizzy.
They're very active and love all kinds of toys, especially with bells or other sound making thingies, feathers, furr, catnip, tunnels, balls, yarn, sticks with things hanging on it etc. etc.
What they don't care about is big toys that can't be carried in their mouths ;)

My fur boy's name is Gregory. He will be 7 years old and we have had him since February. We adopted him through our vet from the SPCA.
In January our Cricket was taken sick and we made numerous visits to the vet. I always went over and talked to Gregory in his cage but had no plans on another cat. I had lost another 2 of my girls in the last year. Well, Cricket's illness turned out to be worse than we thought and we had to help her over the rainbow bridge. I was devastated at losing another cat and this was the first time in my life that I didn't have a kitty in my home.
The beginning of February we went on a cruise and it was so strange to come home to no cats here. My 23 year old son still lives at home and always took care of them so I didn't have to board my babies. After we were home 2 days, my hubby said why don't we see if Gregory is still looking for a home and I agreed. The girls at the vet's office had been trying to have us take him home after Cricket's passing.
Well, Gregory must have been meant to be with us because he was still there. We immediately told them we wanted to adopt him! He had been at the SPCA and then at the vet so had been living in a cage for about 4 months. He was very scared at first and hid under the couch.
Eventually he came out and got used to life here and is loving it as you can tell from his set of photos. I don't know whether he never had any toys but he is obsessed by his collection of toys. I've never had a cat enjoy his toys as much as Gregory. And I've had a lot of cats in my life! He carries them around in his mouth. He's always bringing us a toy. One night he carried one of my raggedy ann doll's into our bedroom and it wasn't a small one! Another night he carried a Croc shoe into our bedroom like it was a toy. lol
Sorry to go on and on but wanted to tell my boy's story! He's so appreciative of toys he will love any type that he receives!
