About Doorknobs and Doorhandles

This group is meant for and dedicated to pictures of doorknobs and doorhandles. All types welcome no matter how excentric.

Doorknobs and -handles carry universal, symbolic values. Not only do they represent openness, friendliness and sociability but they also express cultural differences . Different cultures have different types of doors and correspondingly different types of "tools" attached for opening them.
A doorknob or -handle can thus be seen as a tool. It's simplicity understates it's usefulness yet underscores the fact that pure beauty is often expressed in simple things.

For reasons of uniformity all pictures submitted must be of vertical orientation with the exception of medium format (6x6) format and cropped pictures (which must thus be of equal dimentions of all sides).
