About Handheld Night Photography
This group is for photographers who love the night, but hate to tote around a lot of equipment! This is a place to share your handheld night shots, ask questions and try out something new.
This group came as an extension of the popular Night Photography post from the Exploring with a Camera series on my blog. You can find a lot of tips for handheld night and low light photography in this link: www.kateyeview.com/2010/09/exploring-with-camera-night-ph...
Rules for posting in the group:
- Must be from night time, defined as *after* sunset and *before* sunrise. (No sunrise/sunset shots please!)
- Camera must be handheld or supported handheld (bench, trash can, railing, etc.) - your hands on the camera, pressing the shutter when the shot was taken.
- No use of tripods, monopods, remote shutter releases, etc.
Please add notes with special tips or tricks about how you got the shot. Look around and comment - let's make this a fun little community of night lights.
