Ooooooh! Architecture! I'm good with downtown so long as we get a date I can run with. I've not been to RBG in ages or Crawford lake at all so they would be fun too.

I'd LOVE a downtown run!! Spit out a date. I'm on afternoons (4 - 12) from next wednesday to the following tuesday... then have the offspring.. then from that thursday to the end of sept, I'm on days.. just FYI

Downtown sounds good. And perhaps we could consider one of the more - uhm - "flavourful" parts of downtown. James/John S? Corktown?James N?
Which reminds me - have we ever tried having a meetup to coincide with a Friday night James N art crawl? Maybe October?
The RGB rose garden should be quite photogenic now, with the mixture of blooms and withering leaves. Esp. in the low late afternoon sun.

I'll be there as well... so far, time is not an issue. But I'm not going to be the one to make an executive decision on the time for this one!

Make it at 1pm or something, I know I won't be able to make it but from the sounds of it lots will. We can even have a second meeting for the RBG say on Sunday for those that want or can....and if you shoot downtown you can even hit the Farmers Market, lots of colour there with the challenge of poor indoor lighting.

just throwing in my two cents re: photographing at the farmer's market- i attempted it once but some of the vendors freaked out and informed me that i couldn't take pictures. :(

The farmers market could be trick y with a mob, but it's a good thing to try on your own as you'll draw less attention to yourself and probably get more shots before being told to cut it out. The real trick is to ask the vendor's permission first. Offer to email them the pics so they can use them (or give hem the link to your photostream) and you'll often find them more responsive. This usually works for me at the festivals I visit.
As for time I' wide open after lunch so if nobody else picks a time I'm going to throw 4:00pm out there. Early enough to have good light and late enough to be able to get most errands out of the way. Any takers.......counter offers??

Any takers for 4:00pm? If not then I'm going with 6:00pm as that's the only reply I've got so far. Post your reply here so we can figure it out or I'll be wandering on my own in the core.

We're really running awfully late to try and finalise a time for tomorrow and still expect anyone to show up. Maybe we should postpone?

I was still going to TRY and make it, but maybe the first week of October would be better given the late date. We really are an indecisive bunch, eh.

I second the idea to postpone since I have no babysitter all of a sudden.
